VPAP ST Algorithm with iVAPS

Lumis 150 VPAP ST provides Bilevel pressures for both Spontaneous and Timed modes. iVAPS technology observes each patient’s unique alveolar ventilation, automatically set appropriate targets, then provides smooth pressure support to achieve them.

Intelligent Backup Rate (iBR)

Available in ST or iVAPS mode this device features a manual setting of minimum breaths per minute, known as Intelligent Backup Rate. In case spontaneous breathing reaches 2/3 of minimum breaths per minute setting, the machine automatically adjusts the number of breaths to gradually reach iBR settings.

TiControl

Patients with respiratory problems such as COPD, may experience changes in period between inspiration to expiration, which called cycling. Lumis 150 VPAP ST features TiControl in order to avoid cycling, which monitors the pattern of inhalation and expiration and compares it with TiMax and TiMin machine settings. If the machine detect that user breathing fails outside the used settings, it will automatically change the timing of the delivered inhalation (IPAP) or exhalation (EPAP) air pressure.

TiControl has four adjustment points.

• TiMax (Maximum length of Inhalation)
• TiMin (Minimum length of Inhalation)
• Cycling (Sensitivity level of exhalation)
• Trigger (Sensitivity level for Inhalation)

AutoEPAP

Available only in iVAPS mode, deevice will automatically adjust expiratory air pressure depending on partial or full obstructive sleep apnea disorders.

HumidAir Humidification

This premium device is equipped with built-in heated humidifier. It is designed to add moisture to your therapy air, protecting you from drying out throughout therapy. This leads to less sleep disturbances, helping you to stick with your therapy and enjoy a recharging sleep every night.

Easy-Breathe Motor

Ramp and Ramp Down

With Lumis 150 VPAP ST you can set Ramp Time which is a time period of low pressure before therapy begins and Ramp Down Time which decreases the expiatory pressure gradually when stopping therapy.

SmartStart

Using SmartStart feature there is no need to start and stop the machine through buttons. Just wear your CPAP mask to start therapy, and wear it off to stop.

Full-Color LCD Display

Lumis 150 VPAP ST, features a big colored LCD display equipped with a light sensor in order to auto adjust the backlighting according to the room light. Using My Options menu, you can see your current settings and modify them to suit to your needs. From this menu you are in position to adjust all of the above described functions plus:

• Mask Fit, will notify you with a green smiling face or with a red frowning one, if the mask seal test is ok.
• Mask Type, where you set the type of CPAP mask you use for your treatment.
• Run WarmUp, is pre-heating humidifier water before you start your therapy

Lumis 150 VPAP ST, can accept ClimateLineAir Heated Tube in order to keep Humidified therapy air warm as it moves from the machine to your mask, minimizing the possibility of condensation and moisture inside the tube.

HumidX: The HumidX is a small disposable waterless humidifier about the diameter of a quarter. Designed to improve moisture levels without a fully integrated humidifier, circular bands of material are embedded in a pod which sits in the mask tubing.  The HumidX can be used with the N20 set up kit, and the AirFit P10 Pillow Mask for AirMini only. The HumidX must be replaced within 30 days of opening the pack.

AirCurve 10 ST user friendly Control Panel

AirCurve 10 ST has an extremely intuitive user friendly control panel for even easier handling. There are three main buttons available: Start/Stop button, a Dial and Home button which is used to return to home screen. 

The easy to read and understand screen icons include the following:

• Ramp Time- allows patients to fall asleep on a gentler pressure. Ramp Time can be adjusted from 5 and up to 45 minutes. When Ramp Time is up, the device will automatically start delivering therapy at prescribed levels.

The device allows patients to truly personalize therapy to their needs and requirements. Accessing My Options is quick and easy:

• Making small adjustments is possible with a tap on the screen or a turn of the dial
• Set Ramp Time, Humidity Level or set the device to airplane mode
• Run Mask Fit- this feature allows setting the mask in a perfect position, so that there are no mask leaks or discomfort present.
• Enable Leak Alert- AirCurve 10 ST will beep if the mask leaks too much air. This way you can make easy and quick adjustments for a perfect seal and ensure you get efficient therapy all throughout the session
• SmartStart option- when the SmartStart option is enabled, therapy will start instantly as you breathe into the mask. The device will stop delivering therapy after you take off the mask.

While the original Contour CPAP Pillow has been incredibly successful in addressing mask interference issues, our goal with the CPAPMax Pillow was to create a pillow for sleep apnea patients that not only performs better, but is also more comfortable than most traditional pillows. The pillows dual sided design features plush fiber filling on one side and memory foam on the other, which appeals to a broad spectrum of consumer preferences. One challenge that we faced in utilizing these popular materials was insuring that proper support and stability was maintained so that the integrity of the pillows CPAP mask pockets stayed intact.
We were able to stabilize the memory foam and fiber material by inserting a center layer of high resiliency foam to provide form, support, and relief from comfort issues. Additionally, heat build-up, often an issue with CPAP patients who use humidified air, was resolved with a unique perforation process that ventilates all the way through the pillow. This combined with a 3-D mesh cover that keeps the user suspended above the ventilated foam, allows air to circulate and humidity and moisture to dissipate.
The result is a pillow designed specifically for CPAP therapy users, but comfortable enough for anyone to enjoy.
